Malaysia is the world’s 66th largest country, with area covering more than 320,000 km2. Malaysia’s two major regions are separated by South China Sea. Malaysia is a multi-cultural country with a population of around 27 million. The population consists of Bumiputera, ethnic Chinese, ethnic Indians and indigenous tribe Dayak. The majority of Malaysian people practice Islam and some others profess and practice Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism and traditional Chinese religions.
Malaysia is a federal constitutional monarchy, with Yang Dipertuan Agong or commonly called Raja Malaysia as a head of state. The system of the government is closely modeled on that of Britain’s Westminster parliamentary system. Executive power in Malaysia is exercised by cabinet led by prime minister, while the government of states is headed by big ministers and federal territories that do not maintain local monarchy by head of minister.
